
Training workshop for the staff of the Autonomous Port of Nouadhibou.
In its ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of its human resources and keep pace with the legal and institutional reforms taking place in the country, the Autonomous Port of Nouadhibou organized, on Thursday and Friday, June 18 and 19, 2026, a training workshop for its staff entitled: "Introductory Workshop on the New Law Relating to Public Institutions and Companies." The aim of this workshop is to enable the institution's staff to familiarize themselves with the content and provisions of Law No. 2025-002/PR issued on January 12, 2025, concerning public institutions and companies, and to understand the new developments it introduces aimed at enhancing good governance, establishing principles of transparency and accountability, and improving the performance of public institutions while increasing their effectiveness. In his speech on this occasion, the General Director of the Autonomous Port of Nouadhibou, Mr. Ahmed Ould Sid’Ahmed Ould DIÉ, emphasized that this training is of particular importance, as it represents a fundamental step in enhancing the knowledge of the staff and developing their skills in the field of governance and management of public institutions, enabling them to understand the new requirements introduced by the law, thus ensuring the optimal application of its provisions within the institution. He added that this initiative falls within the strategic vision of the port aimed at investing in human capital, accompanying national reforms, and establishing a culture of compliance, transparency, and excellence in performance, thereby enhancing the institution's position and increasing its capacity to face challenges and keep pace with the transformations occurring in the public sector. The General Director also praised the role played by the B.A.C.B.A.R Consulting office in facilitating this workshop, as well as the level of interaction and interest shown by the participants, expressing hope that the outcomes of this training will contribute to improving institutional performance and establishing the principles of good governance within the institution. Through this initiative, the Autonomous Port of Nouadhibou reaffirms its ongoing commitment to developing its human competencies and continuing its efforts to adopt best practices in management and administration, in line with national orientations aimed at modernizing public institutions and companies and enhancing their role in the economic and social development of the country.
