The General Director of Nouadhibou Autonomous Port Inspects the Progress of the Rehabilitation Works of the Commercial Quay As part of the regular and periodic follow-up of the structural projects taking place at the Autonomous Port of Nouadhibou , the General Director, Ahmed Ould Sid’Ahmed Ould DIÉ, today, 10/06/2026, conducted a field visit to the workshop for the rehabilitation of the commercial quay, to assess the level of progress of the works and ensure that they are proceeding according to the technical standards and specified deadlines. During the visit, the General Director listened to a detailed technical presentation by the project supervisors, covering the various components of the completed works and those still underway, in addition to the technical challenges and the measures taken to ensure the quality of execution and compliance with safety requirements. The General Director confirmed that the project for the rehabilitation of the commercial quay represents one of the strategic projects of the institution, given its central role in enhancing the operational capacities of the port and improving the quality of services provided to ships and economic operators, thereby contributing to supporting commercial movement and developing logistical activity at the port. He also urged the various stakeholders to continue the efforts made and accelerate the pace of execution while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety, ensuring the achievement of the desired objectives of this vital project. These works are part of a program to modernize and develop the port's infrastructure, consolidating its position as a key lever for national economic development.
